The Current State of Psychology Occupies the Time of Michael Civin, Ph.D.

Overall, the academic world has occupied a lot of Michael Civin, Ph.D.‘s time. At various times, throughout his career, he has served as a full professor, an associate professor, or even as a faculty member in many institutions of higher learning. Many of his scholarly articles have been published in medical journals and as chapters in very important books on psychology. Dr. Michael Civin has never failed to pursue an academic education in psychology throughout his more than three decades of practice in the profession.

Early on, Michael Civin, Ph.D. knew education was a key to getting where he wanted. His educational journey started with an A.B. degree cum laude from Harvard in 1968 and continued at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, before he headed to the University of Oregon to get his first Masters of Arts Degree. He actually earned a second M.A. from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. He then earned the right to be called Michael Civin, Ph.D. in 1988 when he received a medical doctorate from the same institution, and he then earned a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 1993.
